ADTRAN Equipment Selected by Verizon Business for IP Services

NetVanta Ethernet Switches and Total Access Multiservice Access Gateways to be Used for Hosted VoIP Services

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 2007--ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN) today announced that Verizon Business is adding ADTRAN's NetVanta Ethernet switches and Total Access 900 Multiservice Access Gateways (MSAGs) to its list of certified Voice over IP (VoIP) Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) for its VoIP services, including IP Flexible T1, IP Integrated Access and Hosted IP Centrex. This will provide greater flexibility and choice for existing customers, and increase Verizon's appeal to new customers.

ADTRAN is a recognized market-leader for Packet-based access gateways. The Total Access 900/900e gateways along with NetVanta Ethernet switches offer a simple and reliable means of deploying converged voice/data services, as well as a number of benefits in terms of competitive pricing, ease of installation and product warranty.
