New NetVanta 12-port Gigabit switches are optimized for delivering VoIP and Wi-Fi to small businesses
The business VoIP market is growing rapidly. Bandwidth-rich VoIP services like unified communications, high-definition voice and streaming video are enriching communication-enabled business processes (CEBPs), and in-turn creating more productive business environments. Smaller businesses are starting to invest in premise-based and hosted voice services as a means to achieve these benefits while offloading complex management activities associated with voice and data applications.
The NetVanta 1531 and 1531P offer the right port count at the right price to address the growing small business marketplace. The switches provide ten Gigabit Ethernet ports (8 PoE) to connect and power IP phones, wireless access points (APs) and IP cameras, and two additional fiber ports for WAN connectivity or to uplink to an aggregation switch. Both switches also are VoIP-ready with support for LLDP/LLDP-MED and voice LANs (VLANs) simplifying next-generation voice deployments. Furthermore, the NetVanta 1531 series has a compact form factor and fanless design for quiet operation. As a result, the switches can easily be deployed on a desktop or in small spaces via a wall mount.
“This expansion to our NetVanta portfolio demonstrates ADTRAN’s commitment to delivering advanced solutions that support the demands of today’s network—both large and small—and empower our customers to successfully address the needs of growing marketplaces,” said
The launch of the NetVanta 1531 and 1531P expands ADTRAN’s portfolio of Gigabit switches, broadening support from the 12-port small business switch all the way up to the 48-port stackable switch for large enterprises.
