With the inclusion of select Bluesocket software, the NetVanta 160/161 APs extend the technology capabilities of both product families into a single solution. Businesses deploying an ADTRAN NetVanta or Total Access based network today can easily add wireless capabilities with the NetVanta 160/161 by leveraging the included WLAN controller feature resident in the AOS. As the business grows, requirements change or more granular control is needed as employees bring their own devices into the workplace environment, network administrators have the option of upgrading the NetVanta 160/161 to the complete Bluesocket architecture to better scale wireless access for the employees.
